I was wondering if anybody could help me date my 4x12 orange cab.
the serial nr is: 1936
it also has a piece of wood to rest on underneath (i´ve seen that in old catalogs as well)

it's impossible to date a cab with the serial, is it metal handles or plastic?

If metal, probable a 70s cab, you can try to date it with the celestion code on the speakers

Hi there,

I have a similar question: My Orange 4x12 has the Ser. No 1892 and a stamped label "T121Z" on the loudspeakers. The handles are metal and the location of the Orangecompany is: "ORANGE Music, 3/4 New Compton St. London W.C 2" . Any ideas when this box was built?

Yours, Mavid

Same deal... mid to late 70's. Only way to be sure is to check the date codes on the speakers...

T121Z is the model. The speaker codes are four letters/ numbers and will be different on all four speakers

OK, I'm away from the cab in the moment, but hopefully, I'll manage to get the numbers 'til the weekend.
