Hello!
I'm from Italy and I have some questions...
My Father bought an Orange amp in '72 but I can't find the model in the catalogue scan. Why?
And also the cabs, I think they are 2x15" but I find nothing about the cab too.

Model: ors50
Serial: 4005

Clic the link for the pic...

Wow!! Never seen those cabs before.... Probably not too many around. That is a very rare amp you have there. very nice! The amp is a very good example of a plexi front Orange amp.... Looks like it also might be made by Matamp..... Probably one of the first Orange amps without the Matamp faceplate....... 1972 was the year they switched from Orange/Matamp to Orange faceplates. Does it have partridge transformers? There are a few ways to tell if it was made by Matamp... If it has the serial number written under each transformer then it is... Looks like it may be as the knobs on that amp are the same as the older Orange/Matamp amps. Any pictures of the back with the pannel off? Post some more if you can.

Thanks you all... and sorry for my english!

Nice pictures!! Has your father ever replaced any parts in the amp besides the tubes? That choke looks prety big.... Ive never seen one that big used in an Orange... Thats the big metal part beside the pre amp tubes. I bet it is original as it matches the other transformers.... Nice clean amp! Pretty rare!

i'd say no to the matamp.
the tell tale signs of matamp builds are three digit serials on the large caps, beside the transformers, on the pcb, and an initialling inside.
if you can grab the chassis out and have a look we can have a better guess.

Hello.
My father decided to sell the Orange (but I hope he changes his mind  ).
Can anyone tell me the indicative quotation of head and speakers?
Thank you!

Here are a couple of pics because old links are dead ;)
