need wattage handling help! immediate reply!

i am interested in the AD140TC. i currently own the AD30TCH and 2 2x12 cabinets with Celestion V30's. can these cabinets be used with the AD140 and handle the wattage? i.e. would two 2x12's daisy chained together equal 240 watts of handling capacity? also, i tried hooking up each 16 ohm cabinet to the 8 ohm speaker outs separately and the sound was half power and overall terrible. i daisy chained the 2 and plugged them into one 8 ohm out and the sound was back to full. any quick reply appreciated!
