Hi Orange people. Can someone please tell me, is it possible to put an effect loop on an AD30HTC. I love my amp but I wish it had reverb! I am currently using an EH Holy Grail reverb that sounds great on the clean channel but when I switch on the lead channel it seems to eggsagerate the reverb and my sound just kind of dissapears out into space somewhere. I figure if I can put the reverb into a loop it might cure this problem.
How do others get around this. My only complaint about Orange Gear is that there is no bloody reverb!

Anything is possible. But that amp is entirely PC board. Tube sockets, pots, jacks, everything. In order to add an effects loop, you'd have to lift some component leads off the board and secure them well. Obviously you'd have to drill into the chassis too.

It can be done, but not for cheap, and not that easily. I say try a reverb pedal first. If you're not happy with the results, look into a good tech. But plan on spending a couple hundred for a mod like that.

Yeah, totally agree here. I think it'd be a scary prospect myself- get a really good amp tech if you do... and just hand them your credit card and the contents of your wallet.

You need to strike a balance with that reverb pedal that's somewhere inbetween both channels... this is why Marshall went to the Dual Reverb idea.

Hmmm, sounds like this is gonna cost me big time!! It would be a lot easier if Orange just put reverb in the amp in the first place! So is it normal for the reverb to be exaggerated (sp?) when you increase the gain and why does this happen??

I believe it has to do with the gain structure of amps somehow. I have a Marshall 6101, 3 channel amp. You set the level of effects correctly for ch 1, and then there are set screws in back to adjust levels for ch 2 and ch3 so everything is balanced. Marshall got around it by putting two separate reverbs in their Dual Reverb series amps. It's a real pain...

The 50 watt model has 4 6V6 power tubes, the 100 has 4 EL34s. Both have a halfpower switch.

With my Les Paul I know I'm small but I enjoy livin' anyway

Hey User, I would get a Matamp but as far as I know, they are not available in Australia...besides, they're not Orange...they're green and purple and red and black and every other colour of the rainbow...
Wow, that Rockerverb sure looks good! I wish that was available BEFORE I bought my AD30TC! How will the prices compare? Maybe I'll have to trade in my AD30 for one of those!! Are they available now?

Some shops in Germany have them. They are more expensive than the Ad series.

Tried the Rockerverb and hated it. Clean channel is too clean and unable to add dirt. Perfect for pedal users though. dirt channel is classic Orange distortion...

HI. Here in Italy I've found Brunetti who seems to have solved this problem. Look at this link [http://www.brunetti.it/custom.php?lang=IT][/url](on this site the english version is available too but unfortunately not this page). I Contacted them last week asking the price... it's about 500€... They says it's expensive because of the modifications they have to do on the circuit.
P.S. 500€ is the price of the work I asked: a parallel effect loop and a accutronics reverb.
