When changing EL84 power tubes in an AD30R does the amp need to be rebiased? There doesn't appear to be any way to change the bias if it was needed. I know they should be at least matched.

Nope. That AD-30 is cathode biased. No way to adjust it, and no need to. Just get a set with a middle of the road or low end current draw and they should be fine.
