I just bought a vintage GRO 100 that can be switched between 3.5, 7.5 and 15 ohm output. If I set it to 7.5 and plug into my cab's 8ohm input am I going to cause any problems?

Thanks for your help.

as long as the speakers have more ohm as the amp there will be no problem. The best solution is the same impedance for amp and speakers.

translate that to 4, 8, and 16 ohms. I don't know why, but Orange's earlier stuff had 4 16 ohm speakers in a 4X12 cab yet the ohm rating on the back of the cab read 15 ohms. Weird. You'll be fine.
