A ringing sound recently started coming out of the back of my ad30tc when i play at loud volumes. It's also become near impossible to avoid feedback at loud volumes. When I palm mute, the feedback is almost louder than what i'm playing. Is this a tube related issue? Thanks

prolly a microphonic preamp tube. gotta good spare? swap it into each spot until you find the bad one. or sometimes tapping on each one whilt the amp is on reveals the bad guy.

Well, it could be microphonic tube or Korean pick-up as these pick-ups are known to feedback like crazy, especially with heavy distortion.

I'm thinking it sounds more like a tube problem. So which tubes are the preamp tubes? (stupid question)

Check out the photo in this thread:

The main pre-amp tubes are Clean, Dirty #1, Dirty #2 and Phase Inverter.
Now if someone would just enlighten this silly bastard as to removing the chassis from the sleeve, I could get on with checking my OWN tubes.
She led me out to the Bikini Atoll, right to the edge of the exclusion zone, and pointed to a dandelion growing in the ashes, like a joke for the living.

OK! I did the pencil tap test and I found the problem tube. It's the GZ34. Two more questions, what kind of tube is this (preamp, power), and can I replace it with an Electro Harmonix tube? Thanks so much guys.
