Orange Rockerverb 100 MK1 16WV 2200UF cap question

Post by DrRiff316 » Sun Nov 17, 2019 4:18 pm

Does anyone know what a good replacement cap for the 16WV 2200UF samwha brand capacitor on the preamp board of a MK1 Rockerverb 100? The capacitor seems very large for its size and any capacitors I find of the same value are much smaller so im wondering why the original cap is so large and if it needs to be?

Are you sure you got the value correct?
What voltage did you specify?

I assume it's one of the power supply caps - it should have a large V rating if so.

22000 uf. Thats why your seeing smaller caps when looking for 2200uf. A 10000 UF cap might be enough if you can’t find 22000. Its for the dc filament circuit.
