I might give that a go. From what I understand those chips are the reason those are no longer in production. I think they were causing a bunch of warranty issues and eventually they just quit producing them. The amp still works for the most part. Just the volume may suddenly drop for a while and come back. If anything I can still use it for fiddling around at home or whatever, but I probably won't depend on it as much on a stage with me. I'm kind of curious what causes them to fail myself. Either way thanks to you and L. Paul Lover for taking the time to help.
