Hi Gang,
I just purchased a Rocker 15 Combo 2 weeks and 95% of me loves it...except while playing in the Natural Channel I am learning quire a bit of Tube Rattle. Particularly bass strings A and D 11- 13 Frets...I have tried several guitars just to rule out some fret noise and all the same so I'm sure that it not an instrument issue. Additionally I plugged into another tube combo I have - different brand / model...No noise.
For $700+ I expect that this should not be an issue this early in the game...Any thoughts?
Thanks Paulie D

A microphonic valve cam happen any time.
If that happens only on the clean channel, you should only need to change V1. If your amp is brand new, your valves probably are still under the 3 months warranty period, and your dealer could take care of that.

I'd contact the dealer with a view to getting it returned.

Re: Orange Rocker 15 Combo
I will add that I had a microphonic valve in my RV50 reverb driver..... it would only make a noise on B notes..... in a quite pleasing way.
Now I've replaced all the Chinese preamp Valves for NOS, that microphonic overtone has gone.... and I sort of miss it!!!!!

Re: Orange Rocker 15 Combo
My 2001 Ad30 combo has done this since I bought it in 2010. I finally started changing out tubes. I am waiting on my NOS tubes to come in. I just put in some Tung Sol's. I am hoping I can make it work without doing the Rec tube too.

Re: Orange Rocker 15 Combo
After a few hours of playing, the 12at7 in my Rocker 15 went microphonic. Considering the price of the tube and the hassle of taking it back to where I got it, I just decided to replace the tube. It’s been running fine ever since, and I couldn’t be happier.
