Hi guys,
If I wanted to put KT88 or 6550 in a RV100, do I simply select the kind of tube in the rear switch or is it necessary to also change the bias? What would happen if I didn't? just curious btw (would love to try different tubes but don't really want to pay a tech to do it)

You SHOULD be getting it biased when you swap power tubes. Running too hot is bad for the tubes, too cold is bad for the tone.

Furthermore, the valve selection switch is not always..... to be trusted. As in, it works for the valve types most times, but depending on the matched quartet you fit in, you may well find the perfect bias on one side or the other regardless of valve type.
But yeah, always get it biased.
