The head i have just purchased, has an 8ohm output, and a second output for another 8ohm cab, or a 4ohm cab. My cab is a behringer BG412H, which has mono 16 ohms, and stereo 8ohms. If i connect the head with both out puts to the left and right of the stereo inputs, this should work hunkydory right?

If the two 8 ohm outs from the head are connected to the cabs two inputs it will work fine.
If the cab is still in mono not stereo there will be troubles, one acts as an input, the other for daisy chaining another cab.

To daisy chain cabs, they need two 1/4 inch jacks on the back of the cabs.
One acts as an input the other a output.
The output from the amp goes to one of the jacks on the cab.
Another cab is hooked to the second jack on the back of the first cab, daisy chaining them.
You can do this forever; however, you must match your impedance after doing this.
