Rocker 15 Terror static hum and pilot light flicker

Hey there,

I just received my new Rocker 15 Terror and I love the sound!

But I noticed a slight flickering of the pilot light sometimes. Also the amp seems to be really quiet when I turn the gain in the dirty channel at around 9 o'clock, even in 15 Watt mode. Also I can hear a little amount of static noise, which isn't affected by any volume or gain knob.

Hard to describe but I don't know how it should be, because I was a blind-buy. Never tested a Rocker 15 Terror before.

Hope some other owners can join in!

I received a second one today from the shop where I returned the first one.

This one has also the same static 50hz hum. Is that just common with the Rocker 15 Terror?

In Bedroom mode at half power its barely noticeable, so it doesn't bother me when I'm playing quietly.

But most of the time I'll be using it at the full 15 watts and in this setting you can clearly hear the static noise.

But I assume it's normal with these amps? I mean, both examples were brand new and I was definitely the first person who has opened up the orange-logo tape on the boxes.

The flickering pilot light would seem to suggest a momentary interruption of power supply? Start with the basic checks of wiring within the plug for a loose wire (obviously disconnected from power supply, get someone to check it if you don't know what you are doing!) The earthing of the guitar would be another consideration? As for hum....fluorescent lighting in your room? other electrical activity going on at the same time? Consider a hum eliminator (electro harmonix and ice cube IC-1 are 2 considerations) if all the basic checks are satisfactory
