Hi all, new member and 1st time post.
Have just acquired a Tiny Terror combo which my Les Paul is sounding great through, although I have read about a perceived thiness in the speaker. Is there a speaker most swap in for the existing speaker.
In the past I swapped the Jensen of a Blues Junior for a Cannabis Rex with favourable results and am a big fan of the Celestion Creamback.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Re: Speaker swap Tiny Terror combo
Tiny terrors have come with 3 different speakers I believe.
The Celestion G12H30 70th anniversary, a really great all round rock speaker, with suoerb cleans.
Later on, they were sold with a Voice of the Work speaker, a speaker modelled after the V30 but not branded Celestion so cheaper.
I've tried that speaker in stores, but have no extensive experience with it. It seems to be a pretty good speaker.
The 10" tiny terror combo had a Celestion G10N40. I love that speaker, but it has limitations too. Great cleans, superb really. The crunch can get a little sizzling. Always articulate, but I find that sizzles better in band context as it cuts through really well, but on my own prefer a smoother tone.
So.... which speaker do you have to start with? I assume a 12" as you want to change to a creamback?

I have the 12” version, although I’m not set on a Creamback as a possible replacement. The Cannabis Rex sounded pretty good in the Blues Junior, I’m wondering if there is a go-to speaker people go for.
Re: Speaker swap Tiny Terror combo
I’m a broken record suggesting Eminence Red Fang or Celestion Gold/Blue

I had a cab loaded with Eminence Guvnors before I quite liked.
How does the Red Fang differ from the Guvnor?

Never played the Guvnor, but the Red Fang uses an alnico magnet, I think they make a ceramic version too. Has a sweet sparkly but not shrill top end, punchy mids and just the right amount of bottom end where the lows are tight and clear. The alnico adds a smooth subtle compression when you really bite in.grimlyflick wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 12:39 pmI had a cab loaded with Eminence Guvnors before I quite liked.

The alnico red fang is really nice. I have one in a 112 combo, great speaker.
Otherwise.... I like V30, G12H30, green backs are goos too..... I'm sure the cream back will be great too.
