Jim Root Terror white noise
I recently bought a Jim Root Terror. I love the sound of the amp but when ever it is on I have a constant white noise hiss in the back ground. I know this is a single channel high gain amp so I'm wondering if this is normal.

Re: Jim Root Terror white noise
Acceptable white noise very much depends on volume and gain settings.
Assuming that's there with a humbucker guitar straight into the amp with no FX, with the volume and gain set at noon, you would expect a little noise, but nothing crazy. Certainly no hiss.
Did you get it new or 2nd hand? It could simply be a dodgy valve.
