Creating a Clean channel on Dark Terror

Post by Sig » Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:30 pm

Currently I have a Line 6 Helix and I'm missing the ability to move air with a tube amp. I like the high gain sound of the dark terror, but I know it will leave me wanting a clean channel. Before spending the money on one, I would like to know if anyone has any experience using a modeler with the dark terror.

I think using the 4 cable method should allow me to bypass the preamp of the terror and use a clean preamp from the helix to get nice cleans. Anyone have any experience with this or know if it would work?

My other option is the Rocker 15 terror run with the helix as a pedal board in the effects loop, but I'd prefer the gain of the dark terror.

The TH30 would solve that problem for you.
Clean channel, and same dirty channel as the dark terror. And should you need it, you can bump it up to 30w when needed.

Thanks, the TH30 is a bit out of budget, but I can look for a used one.
