fuses
Moderator: bclaire
has anyone had problems with their fuses continuing to blow. Orange said that it was 99% of the time due to the Power-amp tubes so I got new ones and I'm still havong the same problem. It's still under warranty, but I don't feel like going through the hassle of sending it in to get worked on, anybody know what is wrong. The model is an AD-30

Mine too!(AD30HTC) In the middle of a gig! I took it back to the dealer, they checked it out and it turned out to be the fuses. I'd previously gone to a well known electrical retailer who gave me what they said was the correct fuses and still they blew. It wasn't until I took it back to the dealer and they gave me specific fuses did all my problems stop.
My advice is double check your fuses and also check all your electrical connections are tight before turn on.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thank God for fuses. Without me knowing, my
five year old son patched the speaker output
into the slave out on my OR 120. I turned it
on and got a nice pop and flash of light.
A fuse blew, its receptacle warped a bit and
one of the power tubes was fried. I considered
myself lucky. And I inadvertantly discovered
that these heads use mini fuses. Until that
point I only kept spare regular size ones in
my gig bag.
