Connecting my 35rt to a laptop

Post by Dagomike » Mon May 21, 2018 11:52 pm

I'm having a problem connecting my orange 35rt to my laptop. Intel Celeron N3060 Turbo Boost (1.6GHz, up to 2.48GHz, 2MB cache, 2 cores) Processor
4GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM + Intel HD Graphics 400 - 32GB eMMC Solid State Drive
14" diagonal HD SVA BrightView WLED-backlit Display (1366 x 768) + VGA Webcam/Microphone combo
Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit) with a realtek hd audio driver and I'm trying to use acoustica mixcraft 8 home studio. Whenever I connect the usb from audio out to the laptop I get an error message saying usb device malfunction and not recognized. Any help would be awesome and appreciated. Thanks all

You should be able to go from the 1/4" headphone jack on the amp to your 1/8" mic jack on your laptop, you might need an adapter to convert between the two sizes. Or the opposite, out of the 1/8" headphone jack on your laptop to either the 1/8" Aux in jack or 1/4" instrument jack on your amp.

I forgot to address your usb question, plug your usb adapter into a different usb port on your laptop. Also reboot the laptop after connecting the cable, the laptop does something called POST (power on self test) where it checks everything on boot up.
