Orange Getaway Driver pedal into FX loop

Hi there,
I own an OR15, and I am considering buying an Orange Getaway Driver pedal. I have two questions:
I read/heard this pedal could be used in an FX Loop.
Thus,is it possible to use it as a kind of attenuator, pedal volume set low, while the amp pre-amp is cranked? In order to benefit from the amp dynamics/tone at reasonably low volume?
I was considering buying a JHS Little Black Amp, but if the Getaway Driver can do that correctly that would save me the purchase.
Last question, is the cab sim correct? Is the sound decent when using headphones straight into the pedal?
I have a micro terror with a headphones output and the sound is really so so, but that may be due to the lack of cab sim.
