Power socket loose

Post by Jke » Fri Aug 25, 2017 12:11 pm

I just got my Thunderverb 200, and the socket where you connect the power cable into the amp is loose, or "wobbly". Is this something I should be worried about, or is it something that can be tightened easily?

Thanks in advance!

That doesn't seem right. I think it is riveted in, right? There's not really a way to tighten rivets, other than replace them.

Can you bring it back and have who you bought it from fix it?

I think they're pop in fit. You could try shimming it with thick paper or similar. Otherwise just replace. Pretty simple to do. Orange usually use spade connectors on the sockets that pull off easily. Just make sure everything is reconnected the way it came off!! https://www.parts-express.com/parts-exp ... r--090-443
