Take a look at this while you're waiting to see how Matamp make the cabs....

The whole width is about 2-3/4". Roughly 3/4" for chamfered edge. I'd do the math for width 1, but I'm too tired to figure it out.

I just measured a cab myself at a store. the front frames are 2.5" wide with a 45 degree angle on the inside edge.

.05" route on the outside edges of the cab.

Dimension of a 2x12: 30.75" wide x 20" high x 14.75" deep

And that's all you need to know. I changed the dimensions a bit to fit my amp head so I can stand the cab on its side. Surprising the width of my head is 21.63" I expected the cab to be at least the same dimension as the head but no.

Here's my build thread, I'm building a 2x12 now: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55777

So here is what I came up with after watching the Orange construction video and getting the picture frame measurements. Orange is using a dado around the entire cab and picture frame.

So the the two sides have a 1/4" x 3/4" dado running around the bottom and top and front/ This dado hold the picture frame in and the rear only hold the top and bottom cleats for the rear panel the two side are removable so the speaker baffle can be removed.

The Top and Bottom have the same dado only on the front and rear.

So my Sketchup mock up is just about finished......just have to add in the internal bracing and cut the 45 degree angle off the speaker baffle so it slides past the internal bracing. Cut the side handle hole and rear input jack and its finished!

Time to build another cab.....
