Micro Terror connected to 6 Ohm Speaker (combo)

Post by Philazur » Mon Jul 10, 2017 12:21 pm

Hi!

I have a Micro Terror, and just love it!

I would like to know if it is possible (and safe!!) to plug/wire this amp to an old combo i have at my parents home, not to have to bring my cab (PPC212) each time I visit them.

The combo is a Peavy Envoy 110, 40 watts transistor amp, with a 6 ohm speaker.

The Micro Terror has "8 Ohms minimum speaker" written on the back. But I read from several sources online that it can take as low as 4 Ohms.

Can I just disconnect the Speaker from the combo, and connect it to the Out jack from the Orange amp?? If so, I'd simply solder a speaker cable to the Speaker and plug the jack in the amp.

Thanks for your help!!
