Orange CR120 Troubleshooting
Separate PA amp head was daisy linked through my Orange CR120. Immediately after powering the Orange made a crazy sound so we then turned it off. The Orange will not come on at all now. I spoke with a local amp restorer in the area and he said that the issue does not sound too serious, so since the CR120 is a solid-state could the issue be as simple as replacing a fuse or could it be worse?

I'm not clear what exactly that means....

Well...more like what my drummer did. It was a while ago so I don't remember exactly whether he tried to run the PA head through the cab or the Orange while running guitar as well. I believe he ran the PA head through one of the speaker outputs on the back of the CR120 and then the CR120 through the behringer ultrastack. The jist is that the Orange got way over powered and something blew. The question is: what blew?

You NEVER do that. From what I just read, he didn't run the PA head into the speakers; he ran the output of the PA head into the amp.
If it's not working, it's not going to be a do it yourself kind of fix. You need to bring that in to an amp tech and plead insanity (on the part of your drummer). Then find a new drummer....

Yeah, lesson has since been learned. Any idea what it could be?

Re: Orange CR120 Troubleshooting
If you're lucky, a few diodes might have fried straight away and protected the rest of the amp. If you aren't so lucky, it could have taken large numbers of components on the way.
As Billy said, tech time, and new drummer time.
