I have had my terror Bass 10000 for just over a year and it has now let me down twice at shows. I would power it on in stand by do my pa setup and things and then flip it on and check my volume and everything.
I would then do our band sound check and both times when I go back my head has powered down. No bad fuse, no warning or anything just off... then I left sitting for a while and DIed my pedal board to the pa and then it powered on and stayed on for the rest of the evening,
Could it be power amp tubes?

I'd say tubes possibly but I'd bring it to an amp tech if I were you.

Re: Terror Bass 1000 problem
THE TB doesn't have power amp valves, it has a solid state output section.
The valves are preamp, and I don't think those failing would cause power down like that. (And if they fail they tend to stay failed!)
Try contacting Orange themselves (or their dealer) for advice if still in warranty. (If you registered it you should have a 2 year warranty.) Or indeed find a good amp tech...
