Th30 volume drop

Post by framarx » Tue Jun 13, 2017 8:38 pm

Hi! This is my first post on this forum, so... Hello to everyone! I'm from Italy and i'm a proud owner of an Orange th30 head.
Here's the problem: a couple of months ago my amp started to lose volume after 2 hour of playing. The problem affected both chamnels, and the volume back to normal levels after switching off and on the amp.
It happened again in the following weeks. After checking out cables and connections, I ended up thinking it was some tube failure. So I decided to replace all the tubes, since they were pretty old and I wanted to change them anyway.
So, the amp works normally for some weeks, but last night on reharsal I had the same problem.
What could it be the cause?
Any suggestion will be appreciated!

Hi! Apart if you are a seasonned tech, don't put hands in the amp, As tube changes didn't fix the issue, it's probably something that should go to a tech (capacitor, cold welding, etc..)
