TH100 Dirty Channel Noise

Post by The Dirty Vacant » Thu Apr 27, 2017 3:17 pm

I just purchased the TH100 head, running with an open backed 2x12, around three months ago. In the last two weeks, I've noticed an increasing hum in the dirty channel. It stays when I turn down my guitar, switch to another guitar or take all pedals out of the loop and in front. The clean channel is perfectly quiet. Is this a preamp tube going bad?

It does sound like it.
Do you have any spare preamp valve to try out?
