Divo ov2-the source of my headaches!!

Post by MikeD » Tue Mar 14, 2017 9:50 pm

So about a year ago I started having problems with my amp failing at the worst possible times. After switching every tube I think I finally found the culprit. When I have the Divo in the special bias mode, meaning it runs a little hotter and then falls back after a moment of silence, it is prone to going quiet. I have now had the Divo out so I can see it and tested between the 2 and the amp goes forever in normal mode and shows and fails and shows an issue with the first tube when running hot.

So this means it's normal mode until I learn how to bias the amp myself and scrap the Ov2. Unfortunately the amp sounds much better hot then in normal mode so this revelation kind of sucked but it will be nice to get through an entire show without using my backup amp.

Man, that sucks.

That thing has only caused you problems really, whereas you bought it to eliminate them.

Is there a s/w issue with yours? Though I seem to remember the 2 valve version cannot be modified ? (no usb port, or am wrong?)

It has the USB port but I can't get a hold of the connector that goes to a pic :|

What is a s/w issue?

s/w=software. Hope you sort it out. I'd contact Orange about the issue.

Yeah... We don't get much help up here from Orange. To many changes in "who" the main dealer is and trying to contact the website is just a waist of time.

Thank God that it's only the Divo and not the amp.
