Uses for Cabsim-loaded headphone out

Hi everyone!
This is my first time posting here. I recently got an Orange Crush Bass 50, which I love. I am a bit sad about it not having a balanced DI out, though (I already knew only the 100 comes with this feature). So I started wondering about how good the cabsim-loaded headphone out is. I guess the best way to tell is to try, which I have, but I would still like to hear an expert opinion on whether this is technically a good option for:
1) recording straight into an audio interface?
2) sending to PA in a live situation?
Basically, my question is: is the difference between a cabsim-loaded headphone out and a DI out the fact one is balanced and the other is not (at least in this series), or is there something else that would make the headphone out a subpar source?
Thanks!
