faulty tube in loop??

Yesterday my volume took a dive, returned but with no treble and after pulling the cables from the loop (only run an eq thats not on and a dd-5 that also was off) everything was ok. After a few minutes of checking the train of pedals I plugged in the loop again and no more issues. I have been having issues with my loop...from it cutting out ( pressumed it was an issue from my boss pedals) and now this. Anyone have any thoughts.

I have a reasonably new mkll rv 50 with stock tubes and you can find pics of my pedalboard if needed recently posted in the pedalboard thread.

Could be anything on the loop...its often a faulty patch lead or cable....I'd suspect these first as you had a problem with the pedals off.
Could also be a pre-amp tube but I would think this would not be intermittent?

Tried cleaning all your jack plug connections? (Proper electrical cleaner!) Might not be that, but it's the first thing I'd try myself.

Same can happen with valve connections too. Tiny bit of dirt on one or more pins can cause problems. (Just be careful to line up the pins right when you put a valve back in - never force them!) For valve pins you need to use a NON lubricated electrical contact cleaner. Handy to have both types!
(Which reminds me, that's something for the shopping list... )
