Post by bulldozer » Thu Sep 10, 2009 12:42 pm

Hello, now it´s time to change the two ECC83 & the ECC81 in my "AD200B MK3". Which tubes should i buy/use? Here are some i think to buy:

or

Is there anythink i have to do special, or can i take the old out of the amp and put the new into it? Sorry for this question, but i haven´t done it before. Thanx for your help.

If you have money go for Mullard, Amperex, Telefunken (NOS) brands. If you want buy "in store" check tubeamp doctor http://www.tubeampdoctor.com/- they have a lot of ecc8?'s to choose from. They don't make tubes, but select them and rebrand from other manufacuters to have the best parametres (high gain, low microphonics, etc)

JJ's get my vote. I've always enjoyed their tone and reliability.
