AD30 gone very quiet

Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum. Didn't actually realised it existed but am now relieved that it does.
I have an AD30 which I've had for about 9 years. I was gigging with my band last night and the amp suddenly went very quiet. Channel 1 is usually set to volume 3 and Channel 2 is that little bit higher. I had to take the volume around to 8/9 to get a half decent level coming back out but this obviously caused the sound to become very empty. All of a sudden (for about 30 seconds) the amp shot back into life but quickly went quiet again!!
I'm not very technical minded but anybody has any help or advice, I would be very grateful.
