Want to run a second 12" speaker with my TT Combo- hall

Post by neilmac » Tue Apr 14, 2009 4:24 am

:? Hi there! (First time posting)

I'm loving my new TT Combo so much but want to make more bottom end by adding an extension cab (sealed with another 16ohm Celestion 12 in it )

Can anyone please give me the definitive best choice and tech advice for running a second cab from my TT Combo whilst still running the internal
speaker as well?

As far as I can gather from the 2 page TT manual (!)
do I just:

Unplug the internal spkr from the 16 ohm socket and plug it into one of the 8 ohm sockets
then
Attach a second (16 ohm 30w rated ) speaker to the other 8 ohm socket?

Is this correct?

Thanks heaps in advance for your combined wisdom!

Sorry you've had no replies from clever people. I agree that the downloadable owners manual from the Orange site suggests you should do exactly as you say and that agrees with my limited understanding of speakers.

Yeah, unfortunately noobs with technical questions would probably have better luck posting in the community section and putting "OT" at the beginning of their posts... :P
