the head on my OTR is getting mighty hot & also the 1A fuse is blowing very frequently....!! advice? could it be anything to do with the ohm setting? i have it on 16 & use two speaker cables to run it to one speaker..

Fuses pop for a reason, they're there to protect more expensive things in the amp. In this case, your output transformer.
If you're hooking the cab and head up correctly, and it's still popping fuses, it's time to check out what's wrong before you damage the amp.
First stop; power tubes. A shorted tube could most certainly be popping your fuse.
Second Stop; Filter caps. An old leaky electrolytic will do that too.
Hook it up with one cable into the cab and see what happens. If it's still doing it, put in some new power tubes. If it's STILL doing it, it's probably time for a re-cap.
