AD 15/12 Mods

hi there. i'm a newbie here and i thought i'd just check here first to see if i can get some questions answered. i recently bought a some mullard el84 output tubes and replaced the "ruby" tubes that were in there. i also got some jan nos philips 12at7 tube to put in my ad 15/12. i opened it last night and i wasn't sure which of the two 12ax7's i need to replace. so i just went ahead and replaced the one that's farthest from the output tubes. i buttoned it up and let it warm up for 30 minutes, then i plugged in my dual humbucking guitar and lo and behold -- it now sounds like a plexi marshall (whoa!!!). so now, i'm wondering, was that v1 or v2?

next question: any more tips on how to mod this little beast? not that i'm not happy with my most recent mod. i'm just in a mod'ing mood.
