Noisy Rockerverb 50 combo

Hi,

I've sent an email to Mr. Loftin about this. I decided that while I wait for his reply, I would ask the good folks here what they think.

My RV50 combo (just over a year old) broke the other day. It was working fine at practice, I put it on standby for a while for a break, and when I came back and took it off standby it started making this static like noise, and no sound would come though. The static noise sounds kind of like bad television static when you're on a channel with no signal.

I tapped around, but didn't find any microphonic tubes. But then I'm not really sure what happens when power tubes go out. Do they get microphonic like preamp tubes?

Do you think it's even tubes?

I'm a bit worried as I have gigs coming up. I'm in southern Oregon and I'm guessing there isn't a certified orange tech within a couple hundred miles of me.

Any advice or experience?
