Hello everyone, I wonder if one of you could help me.

I've just purchased an Orange 4x12 cab (new) to accompany my AD140 Lead head. (they're both awesome by the way). My worry is...

The cab is labelled with the impedence at 16 ohms. It has two inputs, but neither of them are individually labelled as to what impedence they can take. The Ad140 head has two 8 ohm outputs and one 16 ohm output.

Now for the question... do I connect them with two speaker cables at 8 ohms, or one cable at 16 ohms, or would it not make any difference? Also would it cause any damage if the cab was connected below it's stated impedence?

I know it's a very simple problem, but it would have been ok if each input on the cab was labelled individually, and, hey, the cab's perfect in every other way.

Thank you!

Just connect one cable to the cab and plug it into 16 ohm amp output.
