i have an old OR 120 non-master volume head that used to sound killer. the tone started to fade and i got new caps put in and now it sounds like crap!!!! what can i do to bring this back to life???

try some new tubes, preferebly NOS. one guy put the new 6ca7eh electo harmonix big bottle tubes in one with good results, maybe try those. definitly get NOS preamp tubes though. get everything biased by a tech (unless you know how to do it). new tubes won't hurt and if that isn't the problem then the tech will probably find what is wrong while working on it.
