My beautiful Orange is an AD15-12. I've heard that lots of Orange users have swapped the stock tubes out (which are pretty nice) for other brands or models to get different tones. Anyone experienced with this that has some recommendations?

Believe this amps uses EL84's. If so Then I highly recommend the
JJ, (Tesla). Available as JJ EL84 or Ruby EL84CZ.
(Available from Orange though I don't know the actual maker.)
Pre Amp tubes are really a matter of taste and budget.
NOS RCA,Mullard, etc. 12AX7A's excellent for bright high gain.
If cost is not a factor.
GE or Philips 5751'a good for less gain
JJ ECC83S recommended for less brightness, reliable and low priced.
EI Elite recommended for bright vintage sound at a current manufactor
low/mid price.
Ruby 12AX7AC4 recommended for bright vintage tone and 6 month warranty
mid price
Sovtek, not recommended at all, at any price.
Hope this helps,
Jon
