Does anybody know the exact dimensions of the 2x12 and 4x12 cabs? How about weights?
I know its a bit silly but im about to get a RV50 head and id like to get the 2x12, but only if the amp fits on top of the head stood up portrait... if you get what i mean?
I could probably afford the 4x12 but i dont want to do my back in...
btw, the dimensions for the head are 55x25x28cm and it weighs 20kg

all the information you ask is right here... http://www.orange-amps.com/common/cabs.html. yes, the cab is slightly too small to fit on a 2x12 cab stood on its side. http://matamp.co.uk would probably build you something suitable though as shown on http://www.matamp.com/2X12cabs.html.

thanks for the link to the cab info, they obviously havnt got round to putting it on the new website yet.
as for this matamp stuff... to say it looks similar to the orange stuff is an understatement, especially that 'green' one! whats the story?

There are probably more versions of the story then you could shake a stick at. Orange and Matamp certainly worked closely together at times in the past, especially during the early days of Orange. There are very strong parallels in a lot of the amps. Someone here was saying though, just a week or two back, that Matamp were now having no dealings whatsoever with working on Orange amps. Which is a real pity as they know them inside out. Likely there has been some behind the scenes hassle. Shame really!
