What kind of parts do they use, such as caps, resistors, and the like?

Also, more importantly, what kind of transformers? Special made, or 3rd party? Thanks again.

Not sure about the AD-series as i've only been inside one and it was a while back. But my 90's OR-120 is loaded almost completely with 1/2W carbon film resistors. All the mfd range caps are polyprop box caps. All the pf range are the old style silver micas. I can't remember the manufacturer off the top of my head though, i'd have to open the amp up.

My 70's GRO100 is loaded with old WIMA polyester film box caps for just about everything. Actually...that whole amp is WIMA's. The resistors appear to be old 1/2W carbon films. They don't look like carbon comps to me, but I could be wrong.

And I think the newer Oranges use trannys from a company called Douglas Louth in England. I ordered an AD140 OT from Orange to go in my OR120 as a replacement and that's what they gave me. I also have an AD15 PT that I got from Orange which is the same manufacturer.
