ok, yet another mystery for you all to ponder...

playing through the orange ad30htc today and i noticed a strange )and quite loud) buzzing sound that only happens when im not touching the strings, however when i do touch the strings it seems to go away, all be it, with a small click when it does!

does anyone know what sort of problem this is and how to fix it? to me it seems like it could be some sort of grounding issue, but im wondering if it would be the guitar (tried both of them, and theres no change), the amp (i certainly hope not) or just a matter of buying a new lead (which i can live with).

any comments would be most appreciated.

Ah, the annoying guitar buzz. Yes its your guitar from the sound of it. And its annoying too. Mine do that.
It should theoretically be curable, but I've never bothered. Never found it quite annoying enough...
Slightly useless answer - sorry!

not so strange...

All electric guitars have a ground wire going through the body to the bridge, thereby grounding the instrument WHEN you are touching the strings or bridge. Just turn the volume off if you're not touching the strings or don't let go....
