Is there a reason to upgrade rectifier from stock one?

If so, any recommendations?

Doesn't really have too much effect on the sound, and as long as your rectifier isn't dodgy, there's not too much difference. Just get a decent one, and they'll go on for ages. What have you got in there at the mo? What is the Orange stock rectifier?

Yeah i have a PE aswell, never heard of it before i seen it in the amp though. The general view upon a rectifier tube is that it dosent affect your sound that much but that it changes the feel, sustain and the like, slightly.

Sure... I think it does a little when you're cranked at higher volumes and gains. I've got a GE rectifier which i'm sure isn't stock!
