I am new to the orange forum and while i don't currently own an orange amp i would like to own one in the future.(just a little out of my price range right now).
In any event i do own a crate VC508 and while playing it the other night it was electrocuting me through the guitar strings. I have not had the guitar apart but i did take the amp out of the cab just to see what it looked like on the inside. Do any of you know what could cause an amp to do this.
any input would be appreciated because I don't like being electrocuted
"punk band, what's a punk band. Hey who's got a beer"

Try not to stand in water on stage... <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>
Actually, you were completing a circuit to ground which means your amp wasn't grounded... either there was no ground in the outlet you were plugged into or there's something seriously wrong with your amp.
I always carry a little outlet tester- it's a plug-in kind of thing you should be able to get at a hardware store for a few bucks- and check all outlets before I plug anything in.
Plug it in to an outlet you know is good, like at home and try to see if it does it there. If so, take it in for repair- if not, it was the wiring where you were playing.
