This happened on the best night of my life. Our band were suppoting Black rebel Motorcycle Club in Belfast when in the maddness of getting our amps off the stage the cable I had in the the channel selector pedal input in the back of the amp snapped and left part of the cable in the input. Now when I use the amp only one channel works and there isn't enough of the cable in the input to get a hold of to pull it out.
Is this a job for the pros or can anyone suggest how to get it out.
Regards
Neil

Number one, unplug the amp.
I would think you should be able to get a grip on it with some thin needle-nosed pliers without taking the amp apart. There are long thin ones available at hardware stores. Just proceed carefully...
if not, you could pull the amp chassis out and get at it from the other side.
BE VERY CAREFUL AND ONLY TOUCH THE SWITCHING JACK! In fact, try to keep only one hand poking around the amp with the other behind you... you ought to be able to fix this yourself.
A right hand plug might be a better choice in the future- less likely to snap... also make sure whoever is striking the stage knows to strike guitars first/ unplug all cables/ and then move amps.

Classic!
I had a roadie once who said "If it can't be fixed with a soldering iron and duct tape, it's not worth fixing."
Guess we can add paper clips to that list!!!
I'm really bummed- BRMC was coming to a club near me next month with The Datsuns supporting (300 seat club, too) and they cancelled their tour because it was on off nights from Lollapalooza, which also got cancelled and since they're without a label at the moment, had to cancel all shows since they don't have any money/ tour support. I was looking forward to it, too....

We had a few problems with the website. Should be up in a couple of weeks max. Our songs will be available for download and all the guitars were recorded through my orange TC30.

Nice! I read somewhere where someone was saying how much they liked your EP. Love to hear it!

send me your address to the following e-mail, [email protected], and I'll stick our cd in the post to you. alternativley you can download the songs from the follwing link www.grassrootsx.com/thegrace All the guitars in the songs from the "Cause I'm only Dreamin EP" were recirded through my Orange AD30TC Combo. I think it sounds excellent but then i'b be biased. On the first song, "Two Faced Freedom" the first guitar is on the clean channel with a fair bit of gain and when the second guitar comes in thats the dirty channel. Handy if you want to hear the sound of an orange amp.
