You shouldnt need to look inside the amp. just look at the black thing which you plug the mains cable into!

Aha... with you now. Yep, that's the culprit. It's blown. Thanks user, you're a legend! <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

You see this is the kind of thing they should give you a little sh1ty manual for. It doesn’t need to be "how the amp works" in a 300 page volume, Just how to maintain it, how to change valves, fuses, general maintenance, how is someone who has never had a valve amp (or never had to do a certain thing) going to know these things!

Its a shame geertjacobs never comes on this forum anymore, these sort of things would be perfect for his site, i know you can send him emails (and he’s on plexi palace a bit), but you just have to repeat your self!
Maybe it would be useful to make an off shoot website of the forum, then any common questions could get answered on that then you just have to send the link?

I’ve got plenty of time over the summer holidays, if enough people think its worth it, ill have a go?

Yeah, a FAQ's section makes a lot of sense. We could link back to relevant threads too, which might save a lot of newcomers asking the same old questions.
Here's vote no. 1 for that idea, User!

A FAQ is the best idea I've heard all day... :) Go for it!

Hi, yesterday I played with my band and on my ad30h sounded perfectly. Today I turn it on and it begins making strange noises. So i turned it off, checked the cables, and then again on.
Now I can get only swishing which gets louder if I turn up the master. All the tubes are on (even if the first 12ax7 it black on the top from the second time I used my amp). I think it can be the trasformer. Can anyone help me? Thank U
