I just sold my SOLDANO SLO 100 to buy an AD140TC. Sight unseen.... I pray that this will be tne end of my amp search. Wish me luck!

DUH! I forgot to ask what brand of tubes come stock in this amp....
Electro Harmonix? Sovtec? Svetlana?

buy some svetlana's right now for the ad140tc. And I'm pretty sure that this is the amp you always wanted.

Thanks fellas! Definatly will put Svetlana tubes it the amp. I am fortunate enough to own a quad of Mullard 12ax7's! So the Svetlana EL34's should do the trick!It is kind of disapointing to hear that Orange uses RUBY tubes. From my research the tubes are Chinese and rather poor on the construction side!

with those pre-amp tubes and some svets you'll be golden. when i pulled the back panel off my amp and saw rubys i thought i was going to cry and was realy disapointed with the sound of it and was going to sell it. but i changed power tubes and I'll never get rid of it! Hey i checked out your bands web site and your sg custom is SWEET!! i have a standard but would love to get a custom if i can find one for the right price. Do you have any more killer ass nos pre-amp tubes? i need some for the 140tc. mike

I think there using Tesla now and relabeling them. Czechoslovakian made.

None of the tubes in my ad30htc were labeled, but they said they thought the el84's were ruby...
I sold my Soldano Lucky13 for my Orange and haven't looked back.
Now where's the freakin footswitch.
