Hello to everybody,as this is my first topic.I'am the proud owner of an Ad30h bought yesterday and i've got a doubt about the cabs. Can i run two cabinets in the 8 ohm connections? The head has one 16 ohm and two 8 ohm,if i run two cabs with 8 ohm load each its correct or by doing that the total load will be 4ohm? Wich its the correct configuration to run two cabs?
Thank you very much!
Orange AD30h with two cabs.

Surely if both cabs are 8 ohms, you'd use 2x8 ohm outs? I also need to know 'cos my AD30r combo has 2x16 ohm speakers (wired to 8 ohms) which means for an ext cab I'd need another 2x12 8 ohm cab (Orange don't seem to make them), plugging both to each 8 ohm out? I shouldn't have to series the combo's speakers to the ext cab's should I? If so, why would they load a combo with 2x16 ohm speakers?

My combo has 2 8ohm V30 speakers seried to make 16 ohms. Are yours V30's?
Did you get your amp new or used?

It has V30's. I bought it used, but I doubt the speakers were changed from 8 to 16 ohms. Who would do that? Anyhow, that manual makes no mention of 2x8 ohm cabs. Maybe it's so obvious it goes without saying...

Someone who needs a Orange 4x12 at 8ohms would need 4, 8ohm V30 speakers.
Only need to buy 2 if you swap them with the combo.
As for the 2, 8ohm cabs, running the amp at 4 ohms may be putting it near it's limit.
You can always contact Orange and ask, but it is always better to play it safe.
Series them and running at 16 will work just as fine, even safer.
