A couple of speaker extension cab questions - I'd appreciate any advice.
Can I run an 8 ohm cab (2x12 greenbacks parallel) and a 16 ohm cab (2x12 V30s in series) simultaniousy out of the 8 and 16 ohm speaker outs respectively? Does the AD15 have enough grunt to run two cabs in this formation?
On the same topic, I have run the 8 ohm 2x12 greenback cab out of the 8 ohm ext speaker out with the stock single V30 and found the single V30 appeared to be louder and more responsive than the two greenbacks. Is this due to the ohmage difference of the style of speaker? Thanks

Regarding the greater apparent 'loudness' of the V30, this is because of the greater efficiency of this speaker compared to the greenbacks. The V30 spec. quotes sensitivity of 100dB, (usually meaning for 1 watt input, measured at 1m distance), compared to 97dB for the greenback. 3dB difference is enough to easily notice.
Effectively this means more sound output for a given wattage input, and has nothing to do with the impedance. (Both types are in fact available as either 8 or 16 ohm drivers.)
