yes. you may lose a bit of volume, but should be fine on the transformer. Just don't go below in resistance.

Thanks! there is one - 16 ohm, and two - 8 ohm speaker outs. they are not designated to that ohmage? the lowest I assume is 4 since 2 x 8 = 4 ohms
2 x 16 = 8 ohms the combo is 16 ohms ? right? I hav'nt looked inside the amp yet? Thanks for the Info! what I am saying is should I plug the 2 -16 ohm cabs into the 2- 8 ohm outputs since it will be 8 ohms?

well, if it is anything like the newer Marshall cabs, the 8 ohm inputs are stereo (1 speaker per input) and the 16 ohm mono (2 speakers per input).

As far as the resistance, it all depends if they are wired series or parallel, which I don't know. I would just follow what it says on the cab, unless you've changed the wiring/speakers.

I don't get the less volume thing. Whenever I run an amp with two cabs as opposed to one, I get more volume.
