I've been looking at older models of Orange amps, and I came across these and couldn't work it out. Is this an effects loop, or specificly designed for some kind of outboard reverb, I've seen both Orange and Fender reverb tanks on ebay before. Can anybody fill me in?

It's primitive- for the earlier reverb units and echoplexes. Not very usable, unfortunately.

Do they tend to be pretty noisey or something?
